The newly blended team of Julia’s and Morphy’s Fine & Decorative Arts staff will continue to be lead by Mike Fredericks. Mike is a long time Julia’s employee, formerly our Operations Division Manager from December 2005 to June, 2013 and has been leading our Rare Lamps, Glass & Fine Jewelry division since 2013. While in the Operations Manager role, Mike had a “hands on” approach with every item that Julia’s handles. This allowed him not only to gain explicit knowledge about how to safely handle rare Lamps and Glass, but he learned the nuances of the division as well as meeting many of the leading dealers and collectors around the world.

“My passion for history and appreciation for fine craftsmanship is what brought me to Julia’s in 2005 as the Operations Manager. The opportunity to have a dynamic role with this well-respected firm during an incredible period of growth was one I could not pass up. Running this division for the last 4+ years and getting to know not only the product genres but more importantly the consignors and buyers who collect and cherish these items has been tremendously rewarding. I am optimistic that my new role with Morphy Auctions will be equally as rewarding.” – Mike Fredericks
