Beautiful little rifle with 24-1/2” rnd bbl, unusual “Raybar” type front sight with a slot blank in the rear seat and a Lyman tang sight on the receiver. It has very highly figured American walnut wood with large checkered beavertail forearm and capped pistol grip stock with checkered Remington metal buttplate. There is a band around the magazine tube with a sling eye and a corresponding sling eye in the buttstock. The receiver is very nicely engraved with a vignette of two rabbits on the left side and a large squirrel on the right side surrounded by about 70% coverage foliate arabesque pattern engraving. The top and bottom of the receiver and about 2” up the bbl are matching engraved. The bottom front of the receiver is engraved “Mod. 121F” & the serial number and the lower tang have the serial number also engraved. There is an oval gold initial plate on the bottom of the stock. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus. Metal retains 97-99% strong bright original factory blue with light wear on the slide tube. Wood is sound with a few minor storage nicks & scratches and a few grain checks in the left side of the buttstock, otherwise retains about all of its brilliant original factory varnish. Single shot pistol, built on a small shotgun frame with 12-1/4” tapered rnd bbl, pedestal mounted patridge front sight with a fully adjustable unusual rear sight that has a flip up peep aperture. It has a tiny splinter forearm with flat side receiver marked “H. & R. Handy Gun” on the left side and has the maker’s name and address on the right side. It is fitted with a checkered 1-pc walnut grip that has recesses for a wire shoulder stock attachment. An original brown leather flap holster with light impressed rope pattern decorations accompanies it. It is mounted in a beautifully figured gum wood stock, schnable forearm and serpentine metal trigger guard/grip. It has a perch belly butt with crescent rifle buttplate. It is accompanied by an original very rare kraft colored 2-pc box that contains all of the original wooden dividers, a cleaning instruction card, an original wire wiping rod and an original Winchester target. The end label has black printing with a red stamp “Model 1904” on both ends. One end has a large red “W” otherwise the box is unmarked. CONDITION: Rifle is as new and probably unfired. Also included are four early boxes of Winchester 22 ammunition, three boxes of Stetson patent 2-pc green label boxes, one full, one empty and one partial and a later box of 22 long shot containing six rnds and Winchester cartridge box inserts. And finally, it contains a Winchester Junior Rifle Corps marksman badge, an original metal wiping rod and an original small Winchester wood handle screwdriver. CONDITION: As new. Rifle retains virtually all of its bright factory finish to both metal and wood with some minor surface etching on the bottom of the bbl. *WINCHESTER THUMB TRIGGER RIFLE. Cal. 22 NSN Standard rifle with 18” tapered rnd bbl and integral receiver. It has standard fixed sights and one piece walnut stock with Winchester embossed hard rubber buttplate. It is made without conventional trigger having a small-serrated spur that engages the striker when it is manually cocked, that when depressed, fires the rifle. CONDITION: Very good. Metal is mostly a plumy brown patina with thinned areas about midway up the bbl and a couple spots of rust. Wood is sound and retains most of its strong original varnish. This little rifle has a 22” rnd bbl, silver bead Jack front sight and a series 40 adjustable rear sight. The receiver is factory drilled and tapped for receiver sight. The wood is straight grain American walnut, 1- pc stock with schnable tip forearm and semi-pistol grip with checkered steel buttplate. It has a sheet metal trigger guard/floorplate, which contains a 5-shot magazine. The striker cocks on closing and rotating the striker knob manually sets the safety. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl and receiver retain 95-97% strong bright original blue with most of the losses on the receiver edge and some minor flaking. Trigger guard retains about 90% original blue. Wood is sound with a series of small creases on the forestock and minor handling and use marks elsewhere and retains most of its bright original varnish. The receiver is spectacularly full coverage engraved with vignettes of a setter and three pheasants in a woodland scene on the left side, a setter or spaniel with three flushing ducks in a marsh scene on the right side and a spaniel holding a dead duck on the top. Both sides are artist signed “N. Watrin”. The engraving is all surrounded by very well executed foliate and geometric patterns. *HAMILTON MODEL 19 SINGLE SHOT BOYS RIFLE. Cal. 22. NSN. Unusual little rifle made of stamped and rolled sheet metal with the bbl bronze lined. It has a 12” rifled bbl with an unusual operation. The lever is pushed downward which retracts the bolt and firing mechanism exposing the chamber, which is loaded from the bottom. It is then manually cocked and fired. It has a tiny sleeve front sight and adjustable sheet metal peep sight. It is without forearm and has a tiny well formed walnut buttstock with smooth steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine. Metal retains about 90% bright original blue overall with some flaking on the receiver. Large receiver screw is possibly a replacement and the lever pin is peened over, also possibly a replacement. Rotating the breechblock allows the bbl to tip down for loading and extracting. It has tiny slab forearm and buttstock without buttplate. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. It is fired by super heated compressed air and utilizes a compressed air system similar to a quality air rifle. It has an 18” rnd bbl with ramp front sight and adjustable sheet metal rear sight. The receiver is stamped sheet metal with a wood grain checkered plastic stock with black forend tip and a VL logo buttplate. Accompanied by its original black 1-pc cardboard box. *UNUSUAL PANAMANIAN MADE DE LUGO REVOLVING RIFLE. Cal. 22. SN None visible. Most unusual little rifle with 19-1/2” rnd bbl, high front sight and adjustable rear sight. It has an alloy receiver with integral revolving cylinder that seems to have 21 chambers. The safety is a second trigger inside the trigger guard which, when pulled to the rear, engages a notch to prevent the trigger from being pulled. Pulling the knob at the rear of the receiver, which manually rotates the cylinder, operates it. When the knob is released it chambers a fresh round and ejects the spent casing out a slot in the front. Loading is apparently affected by inserting a live round into the exposed empty chamber. It has a long dark stained uncheckered forearm and Bedouin style buttstock with wood buttplate that has a cartridge block in the comb for 30 rnds. CONDITION: Appears to be fine (not knowing what an original one should look like). Bbl is a silver-gray metal color mixed with a light patina. Receiver and trigger guard are a light aluminum color with casting flaws. Wood is sound and retains an even dark finish that may be an old restoration with minor nicks and dings. 4-52787 JR478 (250-500)

It has a standard velocity spring housing. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Overall retains 88-90% original finish with moderate to heavy muzzle wear and moderate edge wear on the frame and slide with a bare spot and thinning on the front strap and about half of the spring housing a blue-gray patina. Magazine retains about 75-80% thin blue finish. Grips are sound and show moderate to heavy wear, missing a chip at the right toe. Mechanics are fine with strong bright bore and some light pitting toward the chamber end. *VERY RARE ENGRAVED COLT PRE-WAR WOODSMAN SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 22 LR. SN 53815. Fine woodsman pistol with 6-5/8” standard bbl, adjustable front and rear sights, and full-checkered walnut grips and an original 2-tone magazine with marked base plate. It has factory engraved flourishes of foliate arabesque patterns covering about 25% of the frame, slide and bbl. There are additional small flourishes mirror imaged on the rear of the slide and frame, spring housing, front strap, trigger guard and behind the rear sight. It is accompanied by its original dark maroon hinged lid box with blue and white end label an two black & white over labels, one marked “TARGET” and the other “ENGRAVED”. It contains an original red covered owner’s manual and a special instruction pamphlet. It is also accompanied by a Colt Factory letter identifying this pistol as factory engraved and having been shipped January 13, 1928 to A. Baldwin Co., New Orleans, LA in a shipment of one gun. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Has been fired, but very little. Retains virtually all of its brilliant original factory finish with only very faint muzzle edge wears on one side. Grips have a chipped diamond or two and show very light wear. Mechanics are crisp with a brilliant shiny bore. Box lid has been taped. COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 45 Colt. SN 73114. Early civilian single action with 7-1/2” bbl, blue and case colored with 1-pc walnut grips. It has original size and height front sight and the bbl address is in proper block letters. The ejector rod head is the new type oval half moon style. It has black powder frame with three patent line markings on the left side. CONDITION: Very fine. All matching. Bbl retains about 60% strong original blue, turned brown with patina toward the frame. Bbl address is crisp and clear. Ejector rod housing retains about 70% glossy bright blue. Cylinder retains 70-75% glossy blue with the balance flaked to light patina. Chambers are fine. There are inspector initials “B” and “O” on the back of the cylinder. Frame retains 50-60% original case colors, strong and bright in the sheltered areas with the balance turned to a silver-brown patina. Frame screws retain most to their original bright blue and do not appear to have ever been turned. Hammer retains most of its bright case colors. Backstrap has glossy bright blue at the top and on the butt with the center section thin blue. Trigger guard retains 80-85% original blue, thin on the front strap with some light pinpoints of rust and worn on the front edge of the trigger bow with some fine pitting, glossy and bright in the sheltered areas. Grips are outstanding with sharp edges, a small gouge on the right side with some light nicks and scratches and retain most to their original bright varnish. The frame retains most of its original case colors, generally muted, but brilliant in sheltered areas. FINE COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH BELT & HOLSTER RIG. Cal. 38 WCF (38-40). SN 151062. Identified Colt with 5-1/2” bbl, blue and case colored with rampant Colt hard rubber grips and black powder frame. An old El Paso Saddlery cartridge/money belt with square nickeled brass buckle and the maker’s stamp on the tongue accompanies it. The belt is rolled fine leather with the seam at the top, 3-1/2” wide, and marked “30” on the sewn end of the tongue billet. It contains 56 large size cartridge loops. It has an early double loop holster with sewn tip and an applied thumb strap. An unmarked double-edged knife with 6-3/4” blade and a homemade-stacked leather handle in a homemade double loop tube sheath also accompany it. This lot is also accompanied by a short biography of the first known owner, a man by the name of Edmond More, Jr. He was born in 1872 in Walton, NY and at age 31 became acquainted with Mrs. Phoebe Hearst, the mother of William Randolph Hearst, the newspaper tycoon. Mrs. Hearst had a ranch in the Mexican state of Chihuahua and believing her cattle were being stolen, hired Mr. More as the ranch foreman to stop the rustlers. He apparently purchased this Colt in El Paso and after suffering illness, trials and travails, sometime in the early 1900’s, after 1904, he left the ranch and returned to New York where he and his two brothers formed a cattle auction company. He lived to age 90 when he had suffered a second stroke and was partially paralyzed. He took his own life with this very revolver. Also accompanied by copies of several handwritten letters on ranch stationery, all dated 1901. Also accompanied by a copy of an 8×10 photograph of a young man leaning against a log building, smoking a corncob pipe wearing this exact belt with the same knife sheath visible. Presumably the originals of these documents and photographs are still with the family. CONDITION: Good to very good. All matching including the grips. Bbl retains 40-50% original blue, strong in the sheltered areas. Frame retains 30-40% original blue, strong in the sheltered areas with the front and back straps a gray metal color. Frame retains 50-60% silvered case colors with some traces of color in the frame gullets. Cylinder retains thin blue in the flutes with some fine surface rust in one area. Hammer will not hold on safety notch, otherwise the mechanics are fine and it has a bright shiny bore with a few spots of scattered light pitting. Frame screws are fine with the trigger guard and back strap screws slightly battered. Grips show moderate wear on the left side, heavy on the right side with the right side turning chocolate. Knife has been sharpened and retains a fine keen edge. Belt is slightly dried with some surface finish loss but supple and sound. EARLY COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH BELT & HOLSTER. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 60670. Fine early single action with 7-1/2” bbl, full original front sight, and etched panel marked “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER”. It has 1-pc wood grips. It is accompanied by a belt & holster rig, if not of the period at least quite early. The belt and holster are made of snakeskin-covered leather with nickel-plated iron D-shaped buckle and the holster is built with two loops and 1-pc skirt. It has snakeskin cartridge loops completely around the length of the belt, which contain thirty-five WRACO and UMC 44-40 cartridges with small copper primers. CONDITION: Revolver is good to very good. All matching including the bbl, retaining an overall dark brown patina with a cleaned area and fine pitting around the muzzle. Beneath the ejector rod housing is bright blue and there are traces of bright blue in the gullets. Back strap and trigger guard retain 15-20% original blue. Etched panel on the bbl is mostly visible. Right grip has a large chunk missing from the toe and has a skull & crossbones carved at the top. Right side retains about 70% original varnish and the left side about 90%. Cylinder pin is battered. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore with scattered fine pitting. Holster and belt are worn and soiled with some minor edge losses and a small break here and there, missing its thumb strap with some loose stitching in the cartridge loops and the leather belt lining is dry and flaked, but still retains some real charm. 4-53021 JR679 (6,000-10,000)

*1ST GENERATION COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Spcl. SN 355786. Beautiful pre-war single action with 5-1/2” bbl, fixed sights, blue and case colored with fine 2-pc stag grips. This appears to be an authentic original 38 spcl single action. CONDITION: Extremely fine, possibly unfired. Retains virtually all of its original factory finish, both blue and case colors. *COLT 1ST GENERATION SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 32 WCF (32-20). SN 316111. Usual configuration with 4-3/4” bbl, 2-line address, and rampant Colt hard rubber grips. It is a scarce caliber in this bbl length. It has “Eleanor” and “1951” inside the left grip and “1951” inside the right grip. CONDITION: About good. Bbl retains 50-60% thin original blue, strong in the sheltered areas with heavy muzzle edge wear on the left side. Frame retains traces of case colors in the sheltered areas, being mostly a silver gray patina. Trigger guard retains traces of blue in sheltered areas, being mostly silver patina. Back strap is mostly dark brown patina. Cylinder has traces of blue in the flutes with the balance silver-gray patina with some moderate to heavy pitting in one spot. Two of the frame screws and one of the back strap screws are battered with three of the trigger guard screw appearing to be replacements. Grips are very worn with some battering on the right side, but still intact and turning chocolate. COLT MODEL 1878 DA FRONTIER REVOLVER. Cal. 44-40. SN 24229. Nickel finish, 7-1/2” bbl marked on the left side “Colt Frontier Six-Shooter”. It has horn grips that are riveted in place and a lanyard loop in the butt. CONDITION: About good. Retains 85-90% original nickel, dull on the cylinder and flaked in the flutes. Hammer pin is a replacement and the horn grips are hollow on the bottom. Mechanics need attention, will not hold on single action and the cylinder stop is non-functioning. The frame is engraved with foliate arabesque patterns on each side with punch dot background and the bbl with dots and O’s down each side surrounded with a wavy border. The cylinder is engraved with flowing geometric pattern with fine scallop borders. CONDITION: Very fine. Frame and bbl retain about 95-96% original nickel-plating. SHARPS & HANKINS MODEL 3A 4-BBL PISTOL. Cal. 32 RF. SN: 685. 3-1/2″ fluted bbls, marked “ADDRESS SHARPS & HANKINS, PHILADELPHIA, PENN.” in the top flute of the bbl. The Model 3A has a removable sideplate and a separate firing pin in the frame. The firing pin retainer plate is missing and the mechanism will not work. CONDITION: Strong traces of blue in the flutes of the bbl, light surface rust and pitting overall. SHARPS MODEL 1C FOUR-BARREL DERRINGER. Cal. 22. SN 1555. 2-1/2” fluted bbls, standard markings in circles around the hammer screw on both sides of the frame. CONDITION: Traces of blue in the top flute of the bbl, mainly light pitting overall. Frame has 80% of the very tarnished silver remaining. Grips are worn at the high spots and chipped at the bottom. MORGAN & CLAPP DERRINGER. Cal. 22. SN: 110. 3″ octagonal bbl, marked “MORGAN & CLAPP / NEW HAVEN.CT.” on the top flat. The initials “EW” are scratched on the bottom gripstrap and the SN has been stamped on the bottom of the frame in very large numbers. CONDITION: Traces of blue on the bbl, mostly gray patina with light surface rust and pitting. Mellow patina on the brass. ALLEN 22 DERRINGER. Cal. 22. SN: 30715. 2-1/8″ part octagonal bbl, marked “E. ALLEN & Co. MAKERS.” on top of the bbl flat. CONDITION: Gray/brown patina with light surface rust and pitting. LE PROTECTOR PALM PISTOL. Cal. 5.6 mm. SN: 5724. Another number with an eagle in front of it, 5405, is stamped above the SN. The serial number is followed by the stamp showing the pistol. 1-1/2” part octagonal bbl. Marked on the removable side plate “HLEE PROTECTORH / SYSTEME E. TURBIAUX” and on the opposite side “BTES.G.D.G. EN FRANCE ET A L’ETRANGER / PARIS”. This smaller version of the palm pistol was the origin of the various American versions. The rotating cylinder holds 9 of the extra short cartridges. CONDITION: Fine. 90% original nickel, worn on the sides. Safety has been polished. Sear spring is missing. 4-52963 FS82 (1,200-1,800)

CHICAGO PALM PISTOL. Cal. 32×5. SN: 11259, all matching. 1-3/4” rnd bbl. Marked “CHICAGO FIRE ARMS CO. / CHICAGO, ILL.” on the removable side plate disk. “THE PROTECTOR / PAT.MCH.6.83.AUG.29.93.” on the opposite side. The edge of the removable plate is knurled. The opposite side is roll engraved with leaf patterns. The same pattern is found around the middle of the bbl. CONDITION: Fine plus. 95% of the nickel overall. RARE ENGRAVED REMINGTON SMOOT FIRST MODEL SPUR TRIGGER REVOLVER. Cal. 30 RF. SN 143. Revolving recoil shield, 2-7/8” keyhole oct bbl with integral ejector rod housing. It has nickel-plating and full coverage factory engraving consisting of foliate arabesque patterns on the frame and cylinder with geometric patterns on the side flats of the bbl. The back strap and butt are engraved to match. It has smooth 2-pc birdhead rosewood grips. Only about 300 First Models were made and very few were engraved. CONDITION: Good. Overall retains 30-40% original nickel with the balance light patina with some fine pitting around the forcing cone area. The box contains three pieces of hand written paper and one printed article describing the ownership and manufacturing of these revolvers. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new. Retains virtually all of its bright nickel. Does not appear to have been fired, grips are crisp. Box lid is fine with worn edges and fuzzed corners. BROOKS & SOPER PATENT MODEL FOR A BURGLAR ALARM. Cal. 32. 2″ part octagonal bbl. Oscar Brooks worked in Jamesville, Wisconsin, from 1866 to 1879. R. W. Soper is known to have work in Sioux City, Iowa, and Eureka, California, but is not known to have been in Wisconsin. Patent 66,457 was issued July 9, 1867. The side of the alarm is engraved in script “Brooks & Soper / Jamesville. / Wis.” CONDITION: Generally fine. Light spotting on all parts. Mechanically excellent. 4-52951 FS220 (1,000-1,500)

TAYLOR FUR GETTER SET GUN. Cal. 22 Short. SN 1065. All brass construction with about a 6” bbl with pinch blade front sight. This trap gun was used to kill fur-bearing animals such as fox, coyote and raccoon, as well as varmints. It was screwed into a log or block of wood and the long iron hook was baited, usually with a piece of meat. It was then loaded and left cocked so when the animal tugged on the bait, the gun fired and killed the animal. It is now outlawed for use in the United States. CONDITION: Extremely fine. “THUNDERER 73” DOORSTOP PERCUSSION ALARM GUN. Cal. 45. 2-1/2″ bbl, all brass and integral with the frame. No other markings. CONDITION: Does not show much use, but there is considerable surface rust mixed with the original blue on the hammer and trigger. 4-52953 FS219 (500-1,000)

BURGLAR ALARM PISTOL. Cal. 32. 2-1/4″ rnd bbl percussion. The brass frame is stamped “PAT. JUNE. 12 / 1867” on the left side. The trigger protrudes from the right side of the action. A fastening screw or pull wire is in the position of the trigger. There is also a long screw that goes entirely through the frame under the trigger. Although the date stamped on this pistol is June 12th, the actual patent was issued to O.P.N Brooks & R. W. Soper of Jamesville, Wisconsin on July 9th. Compare this with the patent model shown elsewhere. CONDITION: Dark patina on the brass with considerable corrosion in the bore. Light pitting on the iron parts. 4-52952 FS217 (500-1,000)

RARE MULTI-SHOT BURGLAR ALARM. Cal. 34. 1-1/8″ bbls, 5-shots. The operation is not obvious. Apparently there was a wedge attached to the hammer spring. There are fastening holes in the 6″ wood mounting base. CONDITION: Moderate pitting overall, one end of the mounting block has been burned, otherwise good. 4-53017 FS222 (250-500)

FRENCH BURGLAR ALARM CANNON. Cal. 12 ga. 4-3/8″ canon shaped bbl. The cast iron body has raised “MF” markings for Manufacture Francaise as well as English markings “MADE IN FRANCE” and “DANGER – FOR BLANK / CARTRIDGES ONLY”. “DIEBESFALLE ZERBERUS” PATENT BURGLAR ALARM GUN. Cal. 12 ga. 2-1/2″ bbl marked “D.R.G.M.”. All markings are cast into the iron gun which is 9-3/4″ overall uncocked. There is a swinging breechblock of sheet steel. The trip wire is missing. CONDITION: Does not show much use but has moderate surface rust on the swinging breech cover and firing pin. REIFF & MCDOWELL BURGLAR ALARM. Cal. 22 blank. Marked “REIFF & MCDOWELL / PAT. JUNE. 13. 1893 / PHILA. PA.” on the hammer. The attaching screw is removable and goes inside the body when it is not in use. CONDITION: Retains most of the nickel-plated finish. UNMARKED BRASS BURGLAR ALARM. Cal. 30. 2-5/8″ rnd bbl mounted on a brass frame. Similar in operation to the Thomas & Wilson but considerably larger and unmarked. WILSON & THOMAS PERCUSSION BURGLAR ALARM. Cal. 22. Marked “WILSON & THOMAS” in an arch over “ILION. N.Y. / PATENT APPLIED FOR” with engraved brackets below. The dovetail for the screw or other catch is on the bottom. This later became known as the Wilson after the patent was issued in 1859. CONDITION: Dark patina on the brass body with some dents obscuring the marking. 4-52954-3 FS212 (300-500)

MODEL BURGLAR ALARM GUN IN ORIGINAL BOX. This mousetrap type burglar alarm is marked “THE MODEL BURGLAR ALARM / PRICE 10 CTS / CONKLIN & HAUSER MFRS. / CHICAGO / – PAT. PENDING -“. The same information is on the cardboard box. The separate instruction sheet is also present. CONDITION: Alarm is excellent and appears to be unused except for one spot of heavy pitting around the price. Box is battered but most of it remains and could be restored. 4-52954-2 FS211 (200-400)

UNMARKED BOOBY TRAP ALARM GUN. The bbl is missing from the pressed steel body. These were made for WWII and are often found without the chamber. They could be attached to hand grenades, blank cartridges or bbls. CONDITION: Fine, retaining most of the galvanized finish. 4-52954-7 FS216 (150-250)

PARKER-HALE GOPHER GUN. The square 33-1/2” stake holds a 12 ga blank chamber and the drop weight. The drop weight has a decal identifying the maker as Parker Hale of Birmingham, England. The blank shell is loaded in the lower cast iron chamber and the firing pin fastened on top. The trip wire is attached to the hook on the opposite side of the stake and when this is pulled it causes the weight to drop and set off the cartridge. These are usually called gopher guns but are actually burglar alarms, simply making noise to scare off intruders. CONDITION: Retains most of the black paint. Decal is fine. 4-52721 FS187 (500-800)

LOT OF FIVE ANTIQUE FLEAMS. These antique knife-like instruments were used to bleed both animals and humans as an early attempted cure for various ailments and illnesses. Mr. Owens accumulated this collection over many years. (1) English made, 3-blade with three different sized cutting edges. All are marked “MOORE / TICHBORNE ST”. It is in a brass framed handle with horn scales and is engraved on the back edge “Wm PARRY.”. It is accompanied by its original pressed cardboard case. CONDITION: Very fine. One small chip in the handle. Blades are fine, case is worn. (2) “PLUM” marked, spring-loaded with single blade. It has a brass body with adjustable depth gauge. Accompanied by its original pistol shaped pressed cardboard case. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Blade tip is broken. Brass has medium patina, case is worn but sound. (3) A large powerful brass bodied unit with single blade with depth gauge, marked “OSBORN & SONS”. It is accompanied by an extremely well made leather covered cardboard case with purple velvet lining. CONDITION: Very fine, lots of original finish, case is also fine. (4) An unusual square unit with 16 small spring loaded blades. Accompanied by its original velvet lined leather covered box. CONDITION: Very fine. Box is extremely fine. (5) A very early small single bladed fleam, probably for human use with silver-plated brass body and simple cocking mechanism. Accompanied by its original tiny chamois lined leather covered case. WINCHESTER 2ND MODEL HOTCHKISS SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 45-70. SN 4125. Standard carbine with 24” rnd bbl, square base front sight, ski jump carbine rear sight with “C”, mounted in a 1-pc nicely figured walnut stock with nickeled forend cap with trap containing a 2-pc iron wiping rod. It has 1-pc trigger guard and smooth carbine buttplate. The left side of the stock has a stud, missing the ring, and a fine “SWP / 1880” cartouche. Also, someone very proud of this carbine, stamped his initials “TFG” about forty times in various places on the wood. CONDTION: Fine. Metal retains about 75% thin original blue. PEABODY MILITARY MUSKET. Cal. Undetermined center fire. NSN. Standard musket with 33” rnd bbl, barleycorn type front sight with musket rear sight. It has straight grain American walnut wood with full-length forearm and straight stock with musket buttplate. There is a rectangular cartouche on the left wrist and small inspector initial “S” on the buttplate tang and adjacent on the wood. It has a ramrod in the forearm and a commercial military style sling. Accompanied by an original unmarked socket bayonet with metal scabbard missing the locking ring and frog. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 85-90% strong original blue with scattered spots of rust pitting. Receiver, lockplate, hammer and lever retain most of their original dark case colors with scattered spots of rust. Wood is sound with usual handling and use marks and a couple of dings on the stock and retains most of its original military finish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore that is dirty. WINCHESTER LEE NAVY RIFLE. Cal. 236 Lee Navy. SN 7393. Standard military rifle with 28” rnd bbl, square base front sight with attached hood and a military ladder rear sight. It is mounted in a 1-pc full-length walnut stock with two bands, the front being also a bayonet lug. The middle band has an integral sling loop with a corresponding base in the buttstock, missing the loop. It has a short hand guard. Accompanied by an original Winchester marked short knife bayonet with iron and leather scabbard. CONDITION: About very good. Metal retains an even blue-brown patina with bright blue in the very sheltered areas. Stock is missing a long sliver behind the receiver and the hand guard has a crack, otherwise is sound with numerous nicks, dings and scratches. Retains generous portions of its original finish. Standard rifle with 30” rnd bbl, pedestal mounted front sight, military ladder rear sight, mounted in a straight grained American walnut full length stock with grasping grooves and straight grip with smooth steel buttplate with trap. It has a short hand guard. The left side of the wrist has a crisp square cartouche dated “1903”. CONDITION: As new. Probably unissued. Retains virtually all of its fine arsenal finish to both metal and wood. There is a scratch down the left side of the butt and minor handling and storage marks. It is mounted in a 1-pc walnut stock with grasping groove forestock and has 1899-style hand guard with hump. There is a legible 1900-dated cartouche on the left wrist. CONDITION: About fine. Bbl retains 93-95% dull original blue with light pinpoints of rust. Receiver, sideplate and cartridge box retain most of their original arsenal finish with some edge wear and dulling. *RARE NRA SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1903 MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 617334. Standard 03 with Springfield bbl dated “11-15”, standard front sight with clip on hood and Buffington ladder military rear sight. It is mounted in a 1-pc walnut stock with grasping grooves and straight grip with checkered steel buttplate with trap and has the early style hand guard with groove. There is a rectangular “J.S.A.” cartouche on the left wrist. The front of the trigger guard has the very rare “N.R.A.” with flaming bomb stamp. Accompanied by an original Rock Island Arsenal 1915-dated military sling, marked in two places. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Metal retains about 95% strong bright original blue overall with light edge wear and some thinning on the receiver and floorplate. Stock has a hairline back of the top tang, otherwise the wood is sound and retains most of its bright original finish. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore. *REMINGTON MODEL 1903 A3 MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 3880444. Standard 03A3 with “RA/6-43” dated bbl and straight stock with “FJA” and “RRA” cartouches on the left wrist, a “P” in a square stock cartouche with the number “463” stamped above the buttplate tang. It has checkered steel buttplate with trap and it has a 2-groove bbl. Accompanied by original Red River Arsenal DD form 1149-3 dated “23 December, 1960” shipping this rifle to Mr. Owens. Also accompanied by a WWII issue Pal short bayonet with original fiberglass sheath. CONDITION: Extremely fine, pristine new. Wood may have been sanded and re-oiled at the arsenal. *WINCHESTER MODEL 1917 MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 358357. Usual configuration with “6-18” Winchester marked bbl, Winchester bolt and unmarked, un-cartouched walnut stock and hand guard. The stock has a smooth steel buttplate with trap containing a nickeled original oiler, complete with brush and pull through. An early leather military sling accompanies it. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new, probably unissued, retaining virtually all of its original factory finish to both metal and wood. Bolt is possibly an old replacement as it shows moderate wear. There are a couple of chips by the floorplate in the stock, otherwise is fine with a few spots of mildew around the buttplate. Crisp mechanics and brilliant shiny bore. 4-52784 JR452 (500-800)

*WINCHESTER M-1 CARBINE. Cal. 30 Carb. SN 5758332. Standard carbine with 18” bbl, no bayonet lug, “W” and “WP” proofs on the bbl. It has round bolt with adjustable ramp rear sight and push button safety with small ordnance wheel on the right side of the butt. Accompanied by an after market 30-rnd magazine. CONDITION: Very fine. Metal retains most of its light gray-green Parkerizing with worn bolt. Wood is sound and retains most of its original finish. Good mechanics, bright shiny bore. *INLAND M-1 CARBINE. Cal. 30 Carb. SN 714491. Rebuilt early carbine with Inland “1943” dated 18” bbl, bayonet lug, flat bolt, adjustable ramp rear sight and flip safety. It has an “AAP” cartouche stock with small ordnance wheel on the right side. CONDITION: Metal retains virtually all of its rebuild parkerized finish and the wood a fine oil finish with light handling and storage nicks and scratches. “BEDFORD’S EUREKA AIR PISTOL”. Cal. 22. NSN. Unusual black painted cast iron frame air pistol with 8-13/16” smoothbore nickeled rnd bbl, that has patent dates on the left side and has a tiny cone front sight with fixed rear sight. It functions by means of a plunger which, when depressed, cocks the pistol which is then loaded by means of a small rotating bolt on top of the frame which lines up with the bore. It is in its original green cardboard box with original wire shoulder stock, target cleaning rod and a ox of Quackenbush 177 felted slugs. Note the pistol shown on the box is an earlier style than the one in the box. This is correct as they used the old boxes first. CONDITION: Pistol and stock are very fine with the bbl retaining most of its bright original nickel and the stock about 90% of its original black paint with some chipping on the butt. Box has worn edges and broken corners with breaks in both sides and has old cellophane tape on all edges. It is lightly soiled. All legends are visible. POPE ALL METAL AIR PISTOL. Cal. 22. NSN. Fine nickel finish little air pistol with forward pulling action to cock the air chamber and to permit loading. It has 11” tiny nickeled-brass bbl and nickeled-iron frame. It is accompanied by an original wire stock. Full marks with “POPE BROS.” across the center and two rows of patents around the edge of the end plate. CONDITION: Overall retains about 70% bright original nickel with some wear over the chamber area of the bbl and heavy flaking on the grip. Muzzle has been mushroomed and has a small crack, missing the sight bead. Seems to function well. 4-52949 JR716 (500-1,000)

EUREKA AIR PISTOL WITH STOCK. Cal. 20. NSN. Unusual nickel finish cast iron frame air pistol with 8-13/16” smoothbore nickeled rnd bbl, that has patent dates on the left side and has a tiny cone front sight with fixed rear sight. It functions by means of a plunger which, when depressed, cocks the pistol which is then loaded by means of a small rotating bolt on top of the frame which lines up with the bore. Note that there are no makers marks and that the trigger guard is part of the frame. Accompanied by an original wire shoulder stock. CONDITION: Extremely fine. EARLY TARGET BALL THROWING PISTOL. Consists of an 8” slab wooden frame with a wire spring around a short dowel toward the front end with a 1-pc trigger/sear. The left side of the grip is marked “A.T. Gallup’s / Boys Dept.” and the bottom of the forestock is marked “Pat’d 6-23-11”. CONDITION: Functions fine. LOT OF THREE EARLY TOY PISTOLS. (1) A cork or dart gun, made of wood, 5-1/2” overall length, marked on the left grip “YOUNG SPORTSMAN”. It is spring operated with a brass spring catch. It has a bore diameter of about 1/2” with a brass ferrule around the muzzle. CONDITION: Couple of hairlines at the muzzle, otherwise retains about 80% original finish. Seems to function. (2) The Sharpshooter rubber band pistol. It is blue finish with wood grip panels, in its original box with two tubes of bull’s eye shot, a small spinner target and loading device. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retains most of its original finish. Target is fine. Box is extremely fine. (3) The Sharpshooter rubber band pistol. It is nickel finish with yellow celluloid grips in an original box with an instruction paper, nine crystallized original rubber bands and three spring-like devices. CONDITION: Very fine plus. German made, probably by Diana with 7-1/8” rnd bbl, single cock break open pistol with adjustable target sights marked “Winchester” on the top with checkered brown plastic stock. Accompanied by its original yellow, red and black box with instruction manual. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new, possibly unfired. RARE ALL WOODEN AIR RIFLE. Cal. BB. NSN. Resembles a firearm but made of all wood, 32” overall length with a 9-3/4” hinged front section, that has a metal liner for bbl, that when operated cocks the spring plunger and exposes the back of the bbl for loading. The rear of the bbl section has a leather washer seal around the bbl. It has an operating trigger and rudimentary sights. CONDITION: Good to very good. Retains 65-70% original varnish overall. HOMEMADE SINGLE SHOT PERCUSSION RIFLE. Cal. 54. NSN. Blacksmith made single shot utilizing a Colt revolving rifle bbl. Incomplete with only a hand forged skeleton metal stock. Missing all the internal parts, hammer & springs. Appears to have been an attempt to make an underhammer, muzzle loading rifle. WEBLEY STYLE EARLY AIR RIFLE. Cal. 25. SN 875. Fine English style break open smoothbore air rifle with 18-7/8” oct to rnd bbl, fixed sights, nickeled receiver and serpentine trigger guard/grip. Nicely figured walnut stock with checkered wrist and cheekpiece and smooth nickeled buttplate. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains an overall plum/blue patina with scattered pinpoints of light rust. Balance of the metal retains most of its original nickel-plating with some fine pinhead pimpling on the receiver. Wood is sound with normal use and handling marks and a large crease on the left side by the butt and retains generous amounts of original finish. DAISY NO. 40 MILITARY STYLE BB GUN. Cal. BB. NSN. Unusual military style air rifle with 25-1/2” bbl/receiver combined with sheet metal front sight and adjustable open rear sight. It is mounted in a 1- pc full-length stock with a sheet metal bbl band and sling eyes with an adjustable canvas sling. It is accompanied by an original Daisy sheet metal, pseudo-bayonet that mounts over the muzzle like a socket bayonet on a real rifle. CONDITION: Bbl/receiver retains traces of original blue in sheltered areas, being mostly a dark brown patina with moderate pitting. Wood is sound with moderate use and handling nicks and scratches and retains 85-90% original varnish. Bayonet retains most of its original blue with light scattered surface rust. Short, lever action rifle with tube magazine, small wood forearm, slab pistol grip stock and its original adjustable shooting tube with post sight. CONDITION: Fair to good. Moderate to heavy rust with caked heavy rust on the magazine tube. Missing tang screw and stock bolt nut. Wood is sound with 75% varnish; action functions well, scope is fine. (2) Daisy Model B lever action repeater. It is full nickel plated with slab walnut stock and nickel-plated smooth steel buttplate. CONDITION: Retains 75-80% milky nickel, fine wood with most original varnish. Seems to function well. (3) No. 1938 Red Ryder carbine with long wood forearm and slab butt stock with staple and ring in the left side of the receiver. The left side of the buttstock is impressed with the Red Ryder name and logo. The right side of the butt stock has an original Daisy decal.
