SN 68349. Cal. 9.3x74R x 9.3x74R, 12 x 12, 12 x 30-06. 2-3/4″ Chambers. Three sets of demi-block OU bbls, 25-3/4″ double rifle, 25-5/8″ rifle/ shotgun, and 28″ double shotgun. Double rifle set is fitted with quarter rib, holding one standing rear sight and claw scope bases for Schmidt and Bender 1.1 – 4 X 24 Zenith 30mm scope with 3 post and crosshair reticle. This bbl set has a proof date of 12/68. Rifle/ shotgun bbl set has full length solid rib with flip-over rifle/ shotgun rear sight, with bbl proof date of 1/68. Double shotgun set with matted ventilated rib has a proof date of 1/68. All bbl sets are of Bohler steel and have DDR proofs. Rear portions are engraved with well cut large open scroll with “GEBRUDER MERKEL, SUHL” on left sides. Top bbl is fitted with full length narrow, matted rib with mid portion cut away forming quarter rib and front ramp. Rear portion of rib is fitted with claw bases. A bronze rear sight is dovetailed through mid rib 8″ from muzzle for rapid sighting, rear rib with plugged dovetail. All bbls are of Bohler Super Blitz steel and are Ferlach proofed. Cyma curved back, coin finished, Blitz double Kersten action has tang safety and rifle/ shotgun selector to left of top lever. All strikers are bushed, and action is fitted with gold plated double triggers (both set). French gray scallop backed boxlock action with side safety features pin type cocking indicators, crossbolt third fastener, side clips, reinforcing bolsters to frame, and dbl triggers (both set). Action is engraved in near full coverage large Germanic foliate scroll with punch dot background surrounding vignettes of game on sides of action with a hound in stand-off with roebuck on left, and a pair of running boar on right. Lightly figured European walnut horn capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/2″ over Silver type pad, and features small shadow line right hand cheekpiece, point pattern checkering at grip, and a cartridge trap with space for 4 cartridges along with a sling loop, on toe line. BRNO Arms ZKK action has been nicely polished and had bolt stop re-worked. Bolt has been engine turned, handle nicely checkered, and shroud has been modified for Model 70 type safety. Orig bottom metal and set trigger mechanism retained. Custom stock by Chris Wilcox has recoil bolts, rosewood forend tip and grip cap. JAMES ERSKINE 12 BORE HAMMER DOUBLE RIFLE.

NSN. Cal. 12 ga. for 1-7/8″ paper case and 0.735″ round ball of 592 grains. Mfg 1865-1870 in Scotland. It has fully rifled 28″ dovetailed steel bbls, and is fitted with a four-leaf express rear sight in broad flat. File-cut rib engraved with address “61 Victoria St. Newton-Stewart NB.” Jones underlever action is fitted with bar locks having front sliding safeties and uniquely shaped broad, rounded hammers with tall spurs. Action has arcaded fences and sprung strikers. Action and locks are engraved with 80% very well-cut, medium-shaded scroll. Trigger plate has a scrolled spur forming a pistol grip. Dense European walnut stock with checkering at grip and steel butt plate is nicely marbled. Splinter forend attaches with side nail. PROVENANCE: From the collection of Ray Ordorica. CONDITION: Very Good. Bbls retain nearly all of a re-blue. Action and locks are a smooth dark gray to brown patina. Stock refinished over some light dents. Bores are very fine, nearly excellent, with some scattered light pitting. Action is tight. Locks are crisp. ALEXANDER HENRY 12 BORE HAMMER DOUBLE RIFLE.

SN 6413. Cal. 12 Bore, for 2-1/2″ brass cases. Circa 1880-1890. 28″ Damascus bbls with full length Alexander Henry 11 groove rifling, (0.770″ avg. bore dia.) with dolls head extension. Robust Jones underlever action is fitted with peninsula back action locks with front sliding safeties and round bodied serpentine hammers. Action and locks are engraved with small scroll. Newly made cast-off buttstock with recoil pad and right hand cheekpiece was reworked, recheckered and refinished by Ray Ordorica. Forend attaches to bbl with forward pivoting lever. PROVENANCE: From the collection of Ray Ordorica. CONDITION: Fair to good. Bbls re-browned with considerable loss to details of bbl rib matting and engraving. Action and locks have considerable loss of engraving due to many years of cleaning and rusting. Surfaces gray brown and pitted. Locks are crisp. Bores are good, lightly pitted throughout, with a couple of very deep large pits in right bbl. Action is surprisingly tight. Locks up well. The rifle comes with a custom 0.755″ bullet mould by Ned Christiansen (Michiguns) designed for paper-patched bullets. Unique straight pull R93 action has sideplates depicting game animals. Nicely streaked European walnut stocks are checkered. CONDITION: Excellent, with only a few very light marks in wood finish, as well as a few minor marks on metal, mostly on left side of receiver. Bore is dirty, but appears to be excellent. SN 1179-65. Cal. 375 H&H. 26″ One third octagon, 2/3 round Bohler bbl with integral rib, is mounted with single standing U-notch rear sight, and gold bead in front ramp. Rib is matted, and orig makers name is matted out. ’03 Springfield action has been fitted with claw mounts. Bolt handle has been altered to clear scope. Floorplate has been altered to hinged type. Rear portion of bbl, action, and bottom metal are engraved with extensive coverage well done oak leaves and acorns in shaded background. Bolt knob is deeply carved in oak leaf motif. Bottom metal is coin finished and has acorns and oak leaves of better quality surrounding scene of battling moose on floorplate, and cougar on trigger guard bow. Front part of magazine is engraved “ENGRAVED” “BY” “BRUEHL MAX” “GUN ENGRAVING” “STUDIO” “CHICAGO”. Crotch figured American walnut, California style Monte Carlo stock with right hand swept cheekpiece and rosewood grip cap and forend, measures 14-1/4″ over open sided Pachmayr white line pad. Well cut point pattern checkering with scroll flourishes at apex of interior points is at grip and forend. A piece of rosewood has been inlet behind top tang. Kahles Helia-Super 4 X scope with duplex reticle is in soldered-on claw rings. Drop at heel: approx 2-3/4″, drop at rear of Monte Carlo: approx 1-5/8″, drop at comb: approx. 1-3/4″. Weight without scope: 8 lbs. 6 oz. LOP: 14-1/4″. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal parts retain essentially all of their custom finishes. Stock shows a few light marks in its orig oil finish, checkering still light in color. Rosewood piece is inlet behind tang to repair a crack, which continues about 3/4″ past piece. Action is engraved with near full coverage well cut oak leaves and acorns, with a gold relief Big Horn ram in central oval of floorplate. Oak leaves continue as accents on bbl and scope rings. Engravers signature “T. M. Leschorn” is at top rear of receiver ring. Stock of nicely streaked European walnut has unusually shaped shadow line cheekpiece and checkered steel buttplate with trap.
