LARGE MOSER DECORATED CHALICE.

Large Moser green glass chalice has gold and platinum grapevine pattern surrounding the foot, ball, and bowl. Front of the chalice has a nicely enameled scene of what appears to be a King handing a grapevine to a kneeling gentleman with a halo above the gentleman’s head inscribed “SANCT NOAH”. Back of the chalice has two panels with German writing, presumably the story of the picture. Chalice is finished with four applied and gilded flower prunts around the ball and a gilded lip and foot edge. Chalice is pictured in the book Moser Glass: The Klabin Collection by Gary D. Baldwin, pg. 128, plate 167. SIZE: 13″ t. PROVENANCE: George Klabin Collection. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some very minor wear to gilding. 5-67436 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 1022
