WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 SADDLE RING CARBINE WITH CASE COLORED RECEIVER.

SN 98200. Cal. 40-82 WCF. 22″ bbl. Blue and case colored finished. Straight grained American walnut stocks with carbine butt. Saddle ring on left side of receiver. Standard carbine sights. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain 60-70% blue finish drifting to a plum-brown toward the front of bbl. Bbl marking are sharp. Sights are very good. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Receiver shows some traces of case colored finish around the saddle ring with balance turning a silver patina. Carry wear and some staining on right side of receiver. Bolt retains 30% blue with some staining. Hammer and lever are a gray-brown patina. Stocks are very good and full-sized with some minor bruising and denting overall. Buttplate is a gray-brown patina as is bbl band. A nice example of an 86 Winchester carbine in a great caliber. 49971-38 TEP (5,000-8,000) – Lot 1064
