*WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 OCTAGON BARREL FULL MAGAZINE RIFLE WITH CRESCENT BUTT.

SN 801514. Cal .25/.35, 26″ oct bbl, full magazine, blue finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt and steel for-end cap. Bbl has standard Winchester marking for this model on the upper left side near the rear sight and the Winchester address on the upper right side near the rear sight. Bbl breach and receiver ring have “WP” proof in an oval. Standard sights for this model. Receiver has the SN stamped at the bottom forward end, “Model 1894 Winchester” stamped on upper tang. Stocks are unmarked. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl has an even gray blue patina overall with loss of finish at the muzzle. Magazine tube has blue in protected areas, with the balance a plumb brown patina. Sights are good. Front sight has some red paint. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Receiver is a gray brown patina overall with some replaced screws. Hammer and lever are also a gray brown patina. Stocks are very good, undersized, and have handling marks and dents overall, especially on the bottom on the fore-end. Buttplate is a gray brown patina, as is the fore-end cap.
