*CHOICE LATE POST WAR L.C. SMITH 20 GAUGE IDEAL GRADE SHOTGUN.

SN S48933. Cal. 20 ga. 28″ bbls, 2-3/4″ chambers, Mod & Full chokes. Double bead sights. Raised matted rib. Beavertail forend. Foliate engraved Ideal Grade non-ejector feather weight receiver. Double triggers. Capped pistol grip. LOP 14-1/4″, DAC 1-1/2″, DAH 2-1/2″. Hard rubber buttplate. Automatic safety. This gun is accompanied by an orig hang tag showing configuration by SN and proof testing. Factory records show finish date 9/26/1949. PROVENANCE: Consignor affidavit stating gun was purchased from unsold L.C. Smith stock at Marlin after the buyout. Copy of Cody Firearms Record for this gun. CONDITION: As new, retains nearly all of its factory finishes. Bbls retain nearly all finish, with no dings or dents. Bright shiny bores. Bbls ring like chimes. Receiver and top lever are fully case colored and show virtually no wear. Screws are untouched. Trigger bow has all its bright blue. Stock and forend fit perfectly and show no cracks. Checkering fine and sharp. One small bruise in checkering left side of forend. Very minor handling marks in buttstock. Retains nearly all finish. Gun is tight and operates crisply.
