MARLIN MODEL 1893 CARBINE WITH CASE COLORED RECEIVER.

SN 928. Cal. 30-30. 20″ bbl. Blue case-colored finish. Varnished walnut stocks. This is a very low-numbered model 93 carbine. Nickel blade front sight. Adjustable rear sight. Straight grained walnut stock with carbine buttplate. No saddle ring present. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain 90% bright blue overall with slight muzzle wear. Bore is frosty with very strong rifling. Sights are very good. Receiver retains 85-90% case color with some wear at the forward end. Hammer retains 80% blue. Lever retains 20% case color with some erosion on the bottom of lever. Stocks are fine and full-sized with an old varnish finish. Buttplate retains 50-60% blue with wear on the heel and toe. Bbl bands retain 50% blue. This is a very fine early Marlin 93 carbine. 49971-76 TEP (750-1,250) – Lot 1157
