*ITHACA NID GRADE 4E 16 GAUGE VENTILATED RIB SHOTGUN.

SN 443540. Cal. 16ga. Chambers 2-9/16″, 30″ bbls with ventilated rib, twin beads, bbl flats jeweled. Chokes FULL/FULL. Beavertail forend with black ebony inlay at tip. 4E engraved ejector action with game bird scene on each side with generous scroll work, sides top and bottom. Cocking indicators. Sgl selective trigger. Capped pistol grip. 14″ LOP over Ithaca sunburst pad from sgl trigger. DAC 1-1/2″, 2-1/2″ DAH. Non-automatic safety. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Jim Beckley. CONDITION: Very good condition overall. Bbls retain much orig blue with substantial thinning from handling at breech and balance thin in spots with normal handling marks. Bore bright, shiny and unpitted. Standard Grade 4 markings. Receiver retains fair amount of case color in protected areas, balance fading to silver. Trigger bow greyed from wear. Incorrect trigger bow screw. Forend is nice and sound with much finish evident, may have had finish added. Buttstock shows significant handling marks and loss of a reapplied finish in those areas. Two hairline cracks at top of each stock cheek where it joins receiver. Grade 4 checkering is vivid. Gun is slightly loose with forend off. Locks up tight with forend in place. Top lever at center. Left bbl fires first with selector in either position. This is a very nice Grade 4 vent rib gun that will show very well with minor refreshing to buttstock finish.
