*SCARCE ITHACA NID GRADE 4E TRAP GUN WITH VENTILATED RIB.

SN 453700. Cal. 12ga. Chambers 2-3/4″, 32″ ventilated rib bbls with triple beads. Chokes FULL/FULL. Beavertail forend with black ebony inlay. Grade 4 engraved ejector action with game bird scene right and left sides. Cocking indicators. Top sides and bottom treated to foliate scroll. Sgl selective trigger, foliate scroll on trigger bow. Monte Carlo style stock with capped pistol grip. 14″ LOP over Ithaca sunburst pad. DAC 1-3/4″, 1-3/4 at DAH top of Monte Carlo. Non-automatic safety. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: An impressive graded Ithaca trap gun ready for the trap field. Bbls retain much of their orig blue with thinning both sides, especially above forend. Underside marked “Best Fluid Steel”. Jeweling on bbl flats. Triple beads with front bead broken below rib. Left bbl professionally engraved at breech “E. F. Christensen”. Bores are bright, shiny and unpitted; no dings or dents. Typical Ithaca Grade 4 markings. Receiver has faded to a lovely grey patina, with color in protected areas. Trigger bow blue faded from use. Minor punch marks on edges of trigger bow. Nicely grained forend and stock with figure and color. Wonderful Grade 4 checkering. Retaining clean finish with minor handling marks. Un-monogrammed shield on underside of buttstock.
