SN 2126. Cal. 44. 7-1/2″ bbl, dovetail front sight, bbl address “ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY” on top of bbl. Six shot rnd cyl. Left side of frame marked “COLT’S PATENT U.S.” Frame, bbl, cyl and trigger guard with small “P” inspector mark noted. Square back brass trigger guard and backstrap. 1-pc walnut grips. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Good, all metal surfaces lightly cleaned with scattered beginnings of pin prick corrosion and light staining. Left side of bbl with minute casting flaw where meets frame. Grips with repair at shoulder on left, losses throughout particularly at butt and toe. Rear sight removed. Mechanics are good.
