SCARCE COLT 3RD MODEL DRAGOON WITH SHOULDER STOCK.

SN 17009. Cal. 44. 7-1/2″ bbl with front blade sight and flip up rear sight, six shot rnd cyl with remnants of Indian fight scene. 4-screw frame, cut for shoulder stock. Steel backstrap, brass trigger guard. All numbers matching. 1-pc walnut grips with remnants of cartouche. Shoulder stock with SNs 17005 and 17006 behind yoke, also made of walnut with steel buttplate, lanyard ring on trigger guard. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Gun is good, all metal surfaces have toned silver with scattered light corrosion and staining. Cyl scene is approximately 20% present. Grips with cartouche as noted above are very good with old coat of varnish and minor handling marks and scratches, minor losses at toe. Shoulder stock is good with pin prick pitting on top and on buttplate, wood is good and sound, cartouches mostly visible with scattered old dents and impressions throughout. Mechanics are good.
