FINE CIVIL WAR COLT MODEL 1849 POCKET MODEL PERCUSSION REVOLVER.

SN 172927. Cal. 31. This is an extremely nice “as found” orig, authentic and all matching Colt Pocket Revolver with the most desirable 6″ bbl made at the onset of the Civil War, late in 1860. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Overall gun is fine, all matching SNs, sharp edges and crisp markings. Metal retains strong traces of orig bright blue finish, especially in protected areas. Muted case colors are present on frame and loading assembly. Over 60% of orig silver is present on backstrap and trigger guard. Cyl scene is crisp and almost totally discernible with one small patch of rust and pitting. Grips are sound, well fit, retaining virtually all their orig bright varnish with scattered small blemishes, especially on right butt.
