*LUGER, 1900 SWISS, LATE PRODUCTION.

SN 21234. Cal. .30 Luger. Late production M1900 Swiss Luger, made by DWM with 4-3/4″ tapered bbl, having drift adjustable front sight. Fixed rear sight mounted on rear toggle link. Early flattop breech block with repaired extractor. Dished middle toggle ears with anti-bounce spring. Late serrated safety. Chamber marked with Swiss cross within starburst. Full SN under bbl and forward frame. Crown/B, crown/U, crown/G markings under bbl with repeated crown/B and crown/U on left receiver. Disassembly shows all matching numbers except for the grip safety that is marked “269”. Neither of the wood checkered grips is numbered, though the right panel is lightly imprinted with a star. Later magazine with tinned body and unmarked wood base. CONDITION: Approx 20% orig blue, largely confined to the top of the receiver, toggle train and other protected areas. Balance has drifted to a brownish mottled patina with cold blue application. Most of the straw has faded from small parts, cleaning and restrawing having been applied to trigger, takedown lever, safety and magazine release. Grips oil darkened but with excellent checkering. Near excellent magazine with crisp wood base having no discs. Bright bore with strong rifling and mild oxidation, better than one would expect from the condition of the pistol. Perfect manual mechanics. 49547-3 LMA C&R (1,250-2,250) – Lot 1203
