*WINCHESTER PRE-WAR MODEL 70 BOLT ACTION CARBINE.

SN 38329. Cal. 7mm. Pre-war features include safety, cloverleaf tang and un-drilled rear bridge with clip loading slot. Bolt has unusually deep dark matching SN indicating possible re-marking. 20″ bbl marked on bottom “7 M/M” with date marking “41”. Stippled ramp hooded front sight with replacement blade along with filler in rear dovetail and Lyman 48WJS receiver sight. Straight comb checkered walnut stock with checkered steel buttplate and sling swivels. PROVENANCE: The Jon Roark Collection. CONDITION: Bbl, receiver and bolt have very good restored rust blue finish. Floorplate and trigger guard show light scratches. Re-blued buttplate. Refinished stock has bright luster with freshened checkering and shows a few small handling marks. Very good bore. 50387-6 DS (3,000-5,000) – Lot 1206
