COLT 1851 SMALL IRON GUARD NAVY.

SN 27914. Cal. 36. 7-1/2″ octagon bbl, brass cone front blade sight with 1-line New York Address. 6-shot cylinder with Ormsby Naval battle scene. 3-screw frame. Left side of frame marked “Colts Patent”, 1-pc walnut grip, iron guard and back strap. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Good. All metal surfaces have a brown toned appearance with scattered light beginning corrosion. Cylinder scene is approx 40%. Matching SNs. Grips are good with scattered handling marks and minor losses at toe. Mechanics are good as is bore with scattered pitting and staining. 49973-79 JSL97 (1,500-3,500) – Lot 1214
