SCARCE DOUBLE CASED HAMILTON MODEL 22 SHIPS DECK CLOCK.

SN 2F24163. WWII U.S. Navy deck clock in dbl mahogany casing with hinged lids. The inner case is dbl lidded so that when the top lid is lifted, it exposes a glass cover for viewing the clock without further opening the case. Clock, in its precision machined brass case, is suspended in brass gimbals with about 1/2″ thick brass back to keep it always facing upward. Case is numbered “11643” and has matching numbered back. Watch has 21 jewels with “Up & Down” indicators. CONDITION: Outer case is soiled with finish losses but is sound. Inner case is lightly soiled with corroded latches & hinges. Brass gimbals & watch case are a dark, mustard patina. Watch appears to to be running at this writing. 49433-171 JR (2,000-3,000) – Lot 1248
