RARE AND FINE COLT RICHARDS-MASON CONVERSION COLT MODEL 1860 ARMY REVOLVER.

SN 196394. Cal. 44. This rare factory nickel conversion of Colt Army utilizes original SNs which are found matching on all parts normally SNd in this range including last 4 digits inked onto backstrap channel of grips and ejector door. This is a fine aesthetically pleasing example retaining most of original plating with crisp markings. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: As can be seen in photos, gun retains most of its original nickel with areas of freckling, light pitting and small scattered dings and dents. Center fire hammer retains much of its original case colors, darkening on top. Grips are well fit, appear refinished, retaining virtually all of their varnish with edge wear.
