WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE BIFROST OR RAINBOW VASE.

Fairyland Lustre vase is decorated in the Bifrost pattern also known as Rainbow pattern and depicts a colorful rainbow arching over waters edge with a castle in the background. Scene is framed by large midnight lustre trees with green leaves and red flowers with fairies playing among the branches. Exterior of the lip is finished in a bronze Persian-Celtic border and the foot is finished with a bronze Rothwell bead border. Vase is signed on the underside with Portland vase mark, “Wedgwood Made in England” and also carries an Issod Collection paper label. SIZE: 8-1/2″ t. PROVENANCE: Betty & Leonard Issod Collection.
