SCARCE E BLAKEMORE OF BIRMINGHAM BOX LOCK GAME GUN.

SN 1291. Cal. 12 ga. 30″ Damascus bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked improved cylinder/improved cylinder. Have 2006 London re-proofs for 2-3/4″ chambers. Full length Damascus rib with brass front bead marked “E. Blakemore Maker St. Mary’s Birmingham. Patentee for improvements in breech-loading small arms. est. 1845”. Dbl triggers, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Greener cross-bolt. Straight grip stock checkered in 2-point pattern with silver oval near toe and 15-1/8″ LOP over black leather covered pad. Splinter forearm with plunger release checkered in 3-point pattern. Receiver is nicely scroll engraved, as is trigger plate, trigger-guard and top lever. WEIGHT: 6lbs. 13oz. CONDITION: Very good. As partially refurbished. Bbls retain nearly all competent re-brown and now show nearly all of their contrasting pattern. Buttstock and forearm have been expertly finished, checkering re-cut and retain most of their custom finish with a few light scattered handling marks throughout. Receiver is toned mostly gray. Top Lever, floor plate, trigger guard, and forearm iron retain most of their modern re-blued finish. Bores are excellent, bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp.
