*PRE-WW II COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER.

SN 246178. Cal. 38 WCF (38-40). Blue & Color case hardened with 4-3/4″ bbl, full front sight & 2-line address with Cal. marking on the left side. Left side frame has 2-line 3-patent dates & Rampant Colt in a broken circle. Mounted with unnumbered Rampant Colt hard rubber grips. This revolved was produced about 1903. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Fine, all matching except cyl which is unnumbered. Bbl & ejector housing retain about 85-90% strong orig blue with an area of fine pitting on left side of muzzle, along with a few small dings. Frame shows scattered fine pitting with cold blue touch up. Cyl retains thin blue in the flutes with the outer diameter having scattered fine pitting & shows a blue/gray patina. Hammer retains faded, mottled case colors. Front strap and backstrap are a blue/gray patina with strong blue in sheltered areas. Grips fit well & show light diamond point wear, turned a little chocolate. Mechanics are fine. Bright shiny bore. 50062-13 JR168 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 1323
