*COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH ONE PIECE WALNUT GRIP.

SN 237880. Cal .32 WCF, 4-3/4″ bbl, blue and case color finish, 1-pc walnut grip. Bbl has 2-line address with index mark slightly to the left of center. Cal mark on right side and a small “32” on the bottom at the breech. Front sight is correct low profile. Frame has Patent mark on forward left side with rampant Colt in circle to the right. Hammer, trigger, and bolt screws are replacements. SN matches on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Hammer has coarse knurling with border. Grip is 1-pc walnut. Accompanied by a Colt letter showing original shipment in 38-40 caliber, 4-3/4″ bbl, blue finish with grips not listed. Shipment was to Blish, Mize & Silliman Hardware Company, Atchison, Kansas on December 26, 1902 in a shipment of 12 guns. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl is a smooth plumb brown finish with traces of orig blue in protected areas. Bbl address and cal mark are sharp. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Ejector rod has a plumb brown patina that is worn to a silver gray on the outer side. Minuscule traces of orig blue. Frame is a plumb brown patina with traces of case color. Screws retain nearly all of their blue. Hammer is a plumb brown patina with traces of case color on right side. Trigger retains traces of blue. Trigger guard is a plumb brown patina overall, with traces of orig blue around trigger guard. Backstrap is a silver gray patina, with traces of orig blue. Cyl is a gray brown patina overall, with traces of blue on the rear face, wear at the front, and a slight drag mark. Grip is undersized and does not fit well. A nice ole’ Six Shooter with a barrel, ejector rod, and cylinder installed from another Colt of the same vintage, during period of use. 50062-11 TEP C&R (1,500-2,500) – Lot 1329
