*PRE-WWII COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER.SN 340469. Cal. 38 Spcl. Blue and color case hardened with 5-1/2″ WWII or just post war replacement bbl and cyl. Bbl has full thick front sight, marked with model and cal on left side and the WWII/post WWII Colt’s marking on right side. Left side of frame has 2-line 3 patent dates & Rampant Colt without a circle. Mounted with beautiful, probably factory, smooth 2-pc pearl grips. Frame was produced 1920 and rebarreled with new cyl during or just after WWII. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl retains about 98% crisp factory blue and the ejector housing about 99%. Cyl & grip frame also retain about 99% orig blue. Frame & hammer retain virtually all of their bright factory case colors, slightly muted. Grips are sound with great fire and strong color on left side. Grip locator pin is missing.
