*COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY BISLEY MODEL REVOLVER WITH CHECKERED HARD RUBBER GRIPS WITH COLT MEDALLIONS.

SN 322219. Cal. 38 WCF. 5 1/2″ bbl. Blue and case colored finish. Checkered hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. Matching serial numbers on frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and grips. All other markings standard for this revolver. PROVENANCE: The Dr. Robert G. Cox Estate Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 50% bright blue with most of wear on left side toward muzzle. Front sight is full-sized. Bbl markings are sharp. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Ejector rod housing retains 50% bright blue with most of wear on outer edge. Frame retains 40% muted case color with some vivid color in the gullet in front of cylinder. Patent mark is sharp. Hammer retains 40% case color with some slight wear marks on left side. Trigger retains 40% fire blue. Screws are good with some fire blue remaining. Cylinder retains 20% bright blue especially in flutes with a slight drag mark the rear end. Trigger guard and backstrap retain 20% blue in protected areas with balance turning a pleasing plum-brown patina. Grips are very good with sharp checkering and medallions. Grips are turning brown as is common with this vintage Colt. Action functions well. A nice late production Bisley revolver. 50019-221 TEP C&R (2,500-3,500) – Lot 1342
