SCARCE REMINGTON 1889 GRADE 2 16 GA HAMMER GUN.

SN 37951. 16 Ga. 30″ bbls. 2-1/2″ chambers. Choked: IMP CYL/IMP CYL. Full length matted rib with steel front bead marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO ILION, NY USA”. Double triggers, extractors, no safety. Beautifully figured round knob full pistol grip buttstock, 14-1/8″ LOP over orig Remington Arms Co monogrammed and checkered buttplate. Classic 2-point checkered buttstock and forend with horn tip and Deeley latch. Bbls appear to be high grade Bernard Steel pattern. Unengraved receiver marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO” on both lockplates. Weight: 7 lb 11 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain approx 80-95% Damascus pattern just starting to tone. Receiver retains approx 35% orig case color, toned at front of frame and on bottom. Trigger guard has turned gray. Stock and forend are beautiful and retain approx 80-95% orig varnish with light handling marks. Mechanics are excellent. Bores are bright and shiny with minute areas of frosting.
