*SCARCE REMINGTON 1889 GRADE 1 16 GA HAMMER GUN.

SN 256394. 16 Ga. 30″ Decarbonized steel bbls. 2-5/8″ chambers. Choked: MOD/MOD. Full length matted rib with steel front bead and doll’s head extension. Double triggers, extractors, no safety. Full pistol grip buttstock with 14-1/8″ LOP over Remington Arms Co monogrammed and checkered butt. Splinter forend with Deeley latch and 2-point checkering and horn teardrop tip. Buttstock with classic 2-point checkering. Receiver is unengraved and stamped “REMINGTON ARMS CO” on both right and left sides. Straight top lever. Weight: 7 lb 14 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain 85% orig blue, slightly toned at forearm, minor corrosion, with a few minor light handling marks and a dent or two. Receiver retains 50% orig case color, starting to tone on bottom of frame, bright and vivid on sidelock and on top. Trigger guard and forearm have toned to gray. Buttstock and forearm retain 90% orig varnish with scattered light handling marks and scratches with two or three light gouges on left side of stock but overall excellent. Mechanics are excellent.
