*HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION REMINGTON 1889 HAMMER GUN.SN 239182. 12 Ga. 30″ Decarbonized fluid steel bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked: MOD/IMP MOD. Full length matted rib with steel front bead, marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO / ILION, NY USA”. Double triggers, extractors, no safety. Pistol grip buttstock with 13-5/8″ LOP over replacement Remington Arms Co monogrammed and checkered buttplate. Splinter forearm checkered in 2-point checkering with teardrop horn tip. Buttstock with classic 2-point checkering. Weight: 7 lb 6 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain approx 85-90% beautiful orig bbl blue with a few minor handling marks and a small patch of corrosion on right tube. Receiver retains approx 85% bright orig case color, toned towards bottom of frame with an area of staining on left side. Trigger guard bow and forearm iron retain 75% orig case color just starting to tone, trigger guard tang having toned silver. Top lever and top of frame have brilliant case color. Buttstock and forearm retain approx 90-95% orig varnish with a few light hunting marks and scratches throughout. Buttplate, as noted above, is excellent, though screws may also be replacements.
