REMINGTON MODEL 1889 GRADE 2 HAMMER GUN.

SN 207856. 12 Ga. 30″ laminated steel bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked: MOD/IMP MOD. Full length matted rib with steel front bead marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO / ILION NY USA”. Double triggers, extractors, no safety. Water table marked with grade and SN. Full pistol grip stock with 14-3/8″ LOP over Remington Arms Co monogrammed and checkered hard rubber buttplate. Buttstock with beautiful figure and fiddle back. Checkered in classic 2-point checkering. Splinter forend with horn teardrop tip, checkered with 2-point checkering. Receiver marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO” on both right and left sides. Weight: 7 lb 12 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain 75% contrast laminated pattern, starting to tone and fade at forearm with scattered light staining and handling marks. Receiver retains approx 45% orig case color, particularly strong on top and lockplates, faded on bottom. Trigger guard and forearm iron have turned mostly gray. Buttstock and forearm retains approx 95% of their orig hand rubbed finish with various light handling marks and scratches. Mechanics are excellent. Bright and shiny bores with a scattered pit or two.
