*2ND GENERATION COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH TWO PIECE STAGHORN GRIPS.

SN 34358SA. Cal .357 MAG, 5-1/2″ bbl, blue and case color finish, 2-pc Staghorn grips with Colt style medallions. Bbl has correct 1-line address on top and Colt SAA cal mark on left side. Frame has 2-line patent mark on left forward side with rampant Colt logo, without circle to the right. Loading gate and right rear of frame have assembly no. 113. Cyl base pin is frozen, so cyl could not be easily removed. SN matches on frame, backstrap, and trigger guard. Right grip is marked “AJAX Grips”. Cyl has a rampant Colt logo stamped on the rear face. The last 3 digits of the SN is stamped on the front face of the cyl with a “W” proof. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Very fine to excellent. Bbl and ejector rod tube retain 99% orig blue with very slight edge wear at the muzzle and front end of ejector rod housing. There is a small stain at the right side of the muzzle. Markings are clear. Front sight is full sized. Bore is slightly frosty with strong rifling. Frame retains 99% orig case color finish. Trigger guard and backstrap both retain 98% blue finish, with some staining at bottom of backstrap and at toe at buttplate. Straps also have slight staining inside the grips. Hammer retains nearly all the blue on top and back, with slight staining on either side of hammer spur. Cyl retains 98% blue finish, with striations around the rear periphery and a very slight drag mark.
