HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION REMINGTON MODEL 1889 GRADE 3 HAMMER GUN.SN 52941. 12 Ga. 30″ bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked: MOD/MOD. Full length matted rib with steel front bead, marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO ILION NY USA” with dolls head extension. Double triggers, extractors, no safety. Full pistol grip buttstock with 14-1/4″ LOP over Remington Arms Co monogrammed and checkered hard rubber buttplate. Splinter forend with Deeley latch and horn teardrop tip. Buttstock is checkered in classic 2-point checkering. Receiver marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO” on both lockplates. Straight top lever. Weight: 8 lb 15 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain approx 75-80% vivid Damascus pattern starting to tone near forend with minor stains and handling marks. Receiver retains approx 60% bright orig case colors, particularly strong on lockplates, starting to tone on bottom of frame and top. Trigger guard and forearm iron retain traces of orig case color. Buttstock and forearm retain approx 90% of their orig hand rubbed varnish with various nicks, impressions and handling marks. There is a small old chip at the nose of the comb.
