*2ND GENERATION COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH FULL NICKEL FINISH.

SN 32729SA. Cal .357 MAG, 4-3/4″ bbl, full/nickel finish, with checkered hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. Bbl has correct 1-line address rolled on top with Colt SAA cal mark on left side. Front sight is fat with low profile. Frame has 2-line patent mark on forward left side with rampant Colt without circle to the right. Assembly no. 628 is stamped on the rear of the loading gate and right rear of frame. SN matches on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Last 3 nos. of SN are stamped on front face of cyl, along with a “W”. Grips also have last 3 nos. of SN scratched on the inside. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl retains 98% orig nickel finish as does the ejector rod housing, with some scratching and very slight muzzle wear. Markings are sharp. Sight is full sized. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Frame retains 98% orig nickel with some scratching on left side near hammer screw. Hammer screw is a replacement with blue-finish. Frame has sharp markings. Trigger guard and backstrap have nearly all their orig nickel finish with sharp SN’s on the left inside under grips. Hammer retains 90% dull nickel with some erosion on the spur. Trigger retains 30% nickel with flaking and staining. Cyl is very good with sharp markings and only a slight drag mark. Chambers are clean. Grips are very good with sharp checkering, no cracks and only some slight dents. A very nice 2nd Generation SA in a rare bbl length and finish. 50062-39 C&R (1,500-2,500) – Lot 1370
