REMINGTON 1885 GRADE 3 HAMMER GUN.

SN 18740. 10 Ga. 30″ bbls. 3″ chambers. Choked: FULL/FULL. Damascus top rib with steel front bead with 4 holes drilled in top, marked “E REMINGTON & SONS ILION NY”. Double triggers, extractors, no safety. Full pistol grip stock with 14-1/4″ LOP over Remington Arms Co monogrammed and checkered buttplate. Splinter forearm with Deeley latch and horn tip with teardrop. Buttstock checkered in standard 2-point pattern. Forearm also checkered in 2-point pattern. Receiver with light border and scroll engraving. Burst of scroll on trigger guard. Weight: 8 lb 13 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Fair. Bbls have turned mostly plum. Receiver gray with hints of case color remaining. Buttstock and forearm have been refurbished. Mechanics excellent. Bores are fair with deep pitting throughout. 49531-67 JSL122 (300-500) – Lot 1371
