*◊ MAUSER C96 “RED 9” REWORK, 1920 PROPERTY STAMP.

SN 136459. Cal. 9mm. Standard configuration Treaty of Versailles “Red 9″ rework with 4” bbl with fixed front sight and fixed rear sight. Short extractor, 2-lug firing pin, small ring “NS” hammer. “1920” property marking on left side of bbl extension. 2-line Mauser address on right side of frame. Disassembly shows all matching serial numbers, including the grips, with the unnumbered but proofed follower dished to better feed the 9mm cartridge. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Approximately 95% refinished blue with high point wear along the rails and floorplate. The trigger is now salt blued. The fire bluing on the bolt stop has been refreshed to 98%. Excellent grips with scattered light dings.
