RARE RUSSIAN MODEL 1805 FLINTLOCK RIFLE.SN NSN. Cal. 69. This rarely seen weapon made at “TULA” arsenal in 1806 as marked in Cyrillic on lock. Russian imperial eagle and proofs are stamped on breech of fully oct 25-7/8″ multi-groove rifled bbl with long saber bayonet stud. This particular weapon was used in the Napoleonic Wars by NCO’s and marksmen. Production on this weapon was only 3 years, ending in 1808. This rare example in original configuration is fully functional with crisp well defined rifled bore. CONDITION: Very good overall, metal all cleaned. Bbl and lock are bright with scattered areas of staining and pitting, markings are all easily discerned, lock markings especially crisp. Brass is fairly bright with brass patina, proof markings in trigger guard are weak from polishing, proofs on buttplate are more discernible.
