PAIRPOINT REVERSE PAINTED SEA GULL TABLE LAMP.

Pairpoint table lamp has large Copely shade with reverse painted decoration of sea gulls flying above a choppy ocean. Sea gulls are done in black, white and grey while the ocean is depicted in shades of green, purple, cream and black. The shade is signed on the interior in gold “The Pairpoint Corp’n”. Shade is also signed by the artist “R Fisher”. Shade rests on a matching obverse painted Pairpoint glass base. Unsigned. The base has a 3-socket cluster and original wooden foot. SIZE: Shade 20″ dia. Lamp 25-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent. There is an old shell-shaped flake on the inside of the shade at the aperture. This appears to be from the making as the reverse painting extends over the top of the flake. Base is very good to excellent. 52022-5 (3,000-4,000) – Lot 1701
