SCARCE JAMES BARBER’S ADVERTISING KNIFE AND CUTLERY DISPLAY CASE. Very early Sheffield makers’ display case 41″ tall x 20″ wide dovetailed English oak with a brown interior and the makers’ logo and information painted inside at the top. The case contains 46 items consisting of straight razors, a large variety of pocket knives, as well as table utensils and carving sets. Most of the knives, razors and tableware have celluloid handles with some of the knives having stag scales. CONDITION: The case shows some wear and handling but is generally very good. The items in the case appear to be excellent with only a green celluloid knife scale cracked in two places. 4-45349 JL337 (2,500-7,500)
