PAIR OF WATERCOLORS OF WHITE EGRETS IN MARSH SETTING BY AIDEN LASSEL RIPLEY (1896-1969). This lot and the following Ripley watercolors ex-a private Cape Cod, Mass. Estate. These works on paper were most likely completed as studies for a mural similar to murals Ripley installed in the Winchester, Mass. Public Library and the USPO in Lexington, Mass. These two images show a white egret, one with cattails and the other with marsh grass. Framed and matted identically in gold frames and white mats. One is estate stamped, other is not. SIGHT SIZE: 4 1/2″ h x 7 3/4″ w. CONDITION: Very good. 9-92093 (1,200-1,600)
