FINE MINIATURE POLYCHROME WOODEN SLEIGH. A highly detailed wooden sleigh affixed to an elaborate metal undercarriage. Similar in nature to the miniature wooden sleds that have various scenes/pictures painted on their flat surface. The main body of this piece is enameled in red with various colored highlighting and appliqués. Of unknown manufacture and probably made in the earlier part of the twentieth century this is a most unique form and seldom found! SIZE: 14″ l x 5″ w x 8-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Overall very good, some minor reglue/repair to back board of sleigh with some minor paint chipping. 1-11575 (1,000-1,500)
