ENFIELD SNIDER CONVERSION RIFLE. Cal 57 Snider. Usual configuration with 1862 dated lockplate, 36-1/2” bbl having numerous proofs on the bbl and receiver. Has three iron bands with brass trigger guard and buttplate and retains the original nipple guard on a chain and ramrod. CONDITION: Good to very good. Retains a blue-brown patina overall with traces of original blue in the sheltered areas. Wood is sound and retains 15-20% original finish with the balance a dark hand-rubbed patina. Bright shiny bore with one spot of rust. 4-50730 JR7 (300-500)
