*WINCHESTER MODEL 42 SOLID RIB SKEET GUN. SN 101504. Cal. .410, 28″ bbl, matted, tapered solid rib, single silver sighting bead, SKEET choke and 3″ chamber. Left side of bbl is marked “MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA / WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL – WINCHESTER / TRADEMARK – MODEL 42 – 410 – 3IN. CHAM.” “SKEET” is stamped adjacent receiver ring with WP proof above it and matching WP proof top center of receiver. Standard receiver with serrated concave top mounted with straight grain walnut, checkered pistol grip, Winchester hard rubber grip cap, Winchester hard rubber buttplate, skeet forend with checkered side panels. Bore measurements are NA. Drop at heel: 2-5/16″, Drop at comb: 1-7/16″, Weight: 6lbs. 10oz., LOP 14″. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl retains 98% orig blue with a couple small areas of very fine surface oxidation, a few minor handling marks and faint rub mark from forend. Receiver retains 98% orig blue with a couple light scratches and small rub mark from forend. Stock is sound with sharp checkering, a few minor handling marks and retains nearly all of its orig finish. Forend is sound with some minor handling marks, sharp checkering and orig finish.
