LARGE TETE JUMEAU BEBE. Head fully marked with the red stamp “Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 12”. She has large blue-gray paperweight eyes, evenly painted brows and well painted multi-stroked lashes, facial and lip painting and pierced ears. She is on her original fully jointed Jumeau body (unmarked) with original finish and wears original brown leather shoes marked on the soles “Paris Depose 12”. The white cotton dress is certainly of the period however the black human hair wig is old but not as old as the doll itself. SIZE: 26-1/2″ (68cm). CONDITION: Very good; some typical paint wear to body especially on joints and fingertips. 1-11335 (2,500-3,500)
