UNMARKED PERCUSSION HALF STOCK KENTUCKY RIFLE. Cal 45. Old conversion with 41-1/4” oct bbl, unmarked with German silver blade front sight and fixed rear sight. The front sight is a modern replacement and is in a new dovetail. There are 4 plugged holes on the top flat, apparently an old scope mount. The stock is 1-pc tiger striped walnut with German silver and brass fittings consisting of 2 ramrod guides, nosepipe, nosecap, 8 simple diamond and elliptical inlays and a simple 2-pc German silver patchbox. It has a small cheek piece and brass buttplate. CONDITION: Iron retains an even dark brown patina and the brass a fine mellow patina. Stock has several grain checks at the buttplate and a repaired chip by the hammer. Otherwise is sound with a fine patina. Ramrod is missing. Sharp dark bore. 4-50793 JR64 (400-700)
