EARLY 20th CENTURY COIN OPERATED ROULETTE WHEEL. This early gambling device is in untouched all original finish. The wooden cabinet has applied applique trim and the front lever has a fancy iron casting. When a nickel is deposited in the coin slot and the lever depressed, the wheel spins and the ball travels around. Upon releasing the lever, the wheel immediately stops and the ball eventually settles into one of the holes with a number in front of it. More than likely there was a paper label indicating which numbers were winners and what the prospective gambler would be paid. Quite possibly manufactured by Griswold. However, there is no maker’s name anywhere on this machine. Original coin box present, however lacking lock. SIZE: 11″ l X 11″ w. CONDITION: Overall very good plus. There is “alligatoring” to the original wood finish. 1-11540 (450-650)
