BOOK OF FLAGS OF THE WORLD. Leather bound book, which probably dates to around the turn of the century. Brilliant color lithography depicting the flags of the world. This may have been a naval officer’s book for identifying marine vessels and their insignia. Each page titled with the name of the nation and depicting flags including naval ensign, merchant pennant, Jack, King standard, Queen Standard, Minister of Marine fortress flag, Rear Admiral, etc. There is no introductory, and no printed information except for identification of flags. CONDITION: Leather binding very fragile and with various losses. Moisture or something else has stained the top portion of almost all of the pages in the book, and some ink marks at the lower portion of the pages. 3-30446 (100-300)
