PAIR OF EARLY DECORATED NEW ENGLAND FIN BACK CHAIRS. This highly ornamental pair with tagged arrow-shaped spats and latticework backrest features an original pastel green paint with free-hand vining flower and leaf decoration with bamboo base. The underside of one has a large chalk inscription, probably a signature (?). SIZE: 18″ to top of seat, 33-1/2″ to top of back. CONDITION: One has a portion of the latticework replaced. Decoration original on both, but worn. 9-92326 (350 – 450)
