1903 COCA-COLA SELF-FRAMED TIN SIGN. An extremely rare piece of Coca-Cola advertising to find, particularly in this condition. Features the oval portrait of Hilda Clark flanked by a garland of pink and white chrysanthemum blooms. She was the first celebrity used by Coca-Cola in their advertising promotions. SIZE: Sight Size 16-1/4″ w x 19-1/2″ h. Nicely housed in a shadowbox and professionally framed. CONDITION: Generally in very good condition. The raised gilt outer border has been repainted; close examination reveals some expert color touch-up to the chrysanthemum border between 7 and 9 o’clock, and between Hilda’s raised arm and the chrysanthemums which was likely due to flaking paint. 1-10811 (6,500-8,500)
