LOT OF TWO BLACK POWDER ARMS. 1) Cal. 50. Unmarked cut down Kentucky rifle, originally must have been a beautiful rifle, but now with a 23-1/4” oct bbl with brass inlay in the top flat. It has a full length applied striped stock with adjustable single trigger, brass furniture with faceted guide and nose pipe and long saddle plate. It has a small filigree side plate and a 4-pc plain filigree patch box. It has a silver thumb plate with a heart and fleur-de-lis on each side of the wrist. The cheek piece has a multi-pointed, silver star inside a brass circle and there is a small early style American eagle on the left side of the butt. It has a long comb plate and faceted tang on the butt plate. CONDITION: As noted. Metal retains a dark brown patina and the wood most of an old refinish with a crack or two, mechanics need attention. 2) Cal. 68. Homemade matchlock with 26” rnd bbl, three tin bands, sheet metal on three sides of the stock, 48” overall, homemade wooden stock, decorative item only. 4-51123, 4-51124 JR1039 (500-1,000)
