18TH CENTURY QUEEN ANNE TIGER MAPLE SECRETARY. This secretary was recently discovered in Mass. It has the unusual feature of being one piece. The entire case is made of curly maple. Three graduated drawers. Drop front lid with interior having 6 cubbyholes and five drawers. Two raised panel doors above with separated compartment. High bracket base. Two board back with white writing “W. Weatley?”. Secondary wood is chestnut. Possibly RI or eastern CT. Brasses have been replaced with a fine set of appropriate reproduction period brasses. The desk has been cleaned. SIZE: 63 3/4″ h, 36 1/4″ case size x 17 3/4″ d CONDITION: Very good. (20,000-30,000)
