FINE STERLING AND ENAMELED MUSIC BOX AUTOMATON. Key wind movement in a rectangular box with oval flip-up lid which when wound has bird pop-up and sing. Four hallmarks to base, one an oval with “925”, the other “M”, another is “PHV” and another which is illegible. Slide on side works mechanism. The engine turned enameling is in a light turquoise blue with zig-zag decoration. The top oval lid has scene of gypsies playing instruments. SIZE: 2″ h x 4″ w x 2 1/2″ d. CONDITION: Box, enameling and silver in very good condition. Mechanism and bird present needs cleaning and minor adjustment to make operational. 9-91804 (2,500-4,000)
